CedarCreek Platinum Block 9 Single Vineyard Ehrenfelser 2018
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaEhrenfelser has always been a hidden star at CedarCreek since way back. In 2018 it was deemed Platinum worthy by winemaker Taylor Whelan, and we agree. The fruit comes off the single, stony Block 9 vines that are now 13 to 16-years-old. 11 percent is fermented in neutral oak to add a smidgeon of texture to the predominately stainless steel tank and barrels, ageing for four months on its lees. The traditional honeysuckle, tangerine, honeydew, ripe pear, key lime flavours are all here, but it’s the subtlety that attracts.
