Bordertown Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaNot yet released at the winery, so we don't have a lot of information on this wine, but the previous vintage was 100 percent Osoyoos fruit. On the nose, it’s not shy on intensity, but it’s all about roasted red pepper and stewed fruit as opposed to freshness. There’s also some subtle oak spice, which is nicely integrated in the background. The palate is fairly plush with fine tannins, but the tart acidity sticks out on the finish. Tame this with peppercorn steak.Tasted: 21 July 2019Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
