Mission Hill Reserve Pinot Gris 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAnother solid effort from the Reserve series. The fruit comes off estate vineyards on Black Sage Road and Naramata Ranch. In all, some 60 blocks were involved in the blend, 25 percent of which was barrel-fermented in French oak, and five percent of that was new wood. The nose and palate is bright pear with a squeeze of lemon, and the mid-palate is firm and dry. Don’t bother looking for any sugar; it ends with the perfect lime pith bitterness. Rich, yet svelte, I can think of dozens of matches for this wine starting with pesto pasta.Tasted: 03 July 2019Tasted by: Prices:
