Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandPinot Gris has an identity crisis in New Zealand. It can be lean and sprightly, grigio style, or rich and lush Alsatian inspired. This Cirro, from Marlborough, seems to take its inspiration from sauvignon blanc. Grassy, passionfruit, lemon, pear drop on a snappy, bright palate, finishing with a bitter citrus twist.
