Mendoza, ArgentinaThe Zuccardi family is a shining light in the New Argentina, and this simple, but sophisticated malbec raised organically is but one of many contributions the family is making to Argentine wine. That this wine isn’t listed in government stores is a crime. Let’s hope you can find in private wine shops. Expect soft, round, plummy fruit with flecks of chocolate and even a touch of tannin yet to be shed. A superior red malbec you could age for a year or two.
