Craggy Range Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Martinborough, Wairarapa, North Island, New ZealandThe Te Muna Road Vineyard (The Secret) sits just outside the Martinborough township at 41° 16' 41.3"S. The vineyard is neatly divided into two different soils, but it’s the higher terraces made up of mostly stony clay soils that are perfect for pinot noir. This wine has evolved into something extraordinary over the last 15 years. As technical as pinot noir has become, especially in New Zealand, this wine sings from the glass because it has a fantastic balance of fruit and flavours that both stimulates and melts on the palate in a way that makes you want to drink another glass. Beautiful juicy ripe cherries dusted in sagebrush remind one of BC, but the sophistication is off the charts. It is sophisticated, elegant and well worth the money.Tasted: 30 May 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
