Lock and Worth Sémillon Losthorn Vineyard 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRetasted 16 months along, this Losthorn Vineyard Sémillon is one of 2 séms released in 2018 by L+W. This comes from Okanagan Falls' Losthorn Vineyard, planted in 1995 on a south / south west facing site. This was native fermented in stainless and neutral French barrels before resting there for 6 months prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered (hence the lattice of sediment gracing the bottom of the bottle). Savoury salts infiltrate meadow grass, dried herbs, wild lemon, mandarin pith and peel to a lingering finish. There's an alluring dance between mineral / salt / savoury / fruit that entices. As much as I enjoy drinking this now (liberally), I know it will improve with age.Tasted: 09 July 2020Tasted by: Prices:
