Penner-Ash Pinot Noir 2016

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesPinot lovers value delicacy and floral notes over all others and when you add some plummy, spicy, savoury, black cherry fruit well they are easily seduced. It would appear Jackson Family Wines is doing what they do best supporting the brand and letting the Penners reach for the sky. This is so much fun to drink, so mouth-filling, yet with a tug of soft tannin that suggests it will improve in the bottle over the next three years. It was aged ten months in 33% new French oak, 27% one-year-old French oak, 23% two-year-old French oak, and 17% in neutral French oak. Zena Crown and Gran Moraine have been added to the mix of fruit coming off 13 other separate lots. Beijing duck would be divine, grilled salmon more attainable at home.Tasted: 02 February 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
