Kendall-Jackson Jackson Estate Camelot Highlands Chardonnay 2017

Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesThis special limited release Santa Maria Valley AVA, established in 1981, sits close to the California Coast in a rare east-west mountain range open to cool Pacific breezes and an almost daily cooling marine influence. The resulting cool and much longer growing season produces intense flavours (think New Zealand), with naturally high acidity. In this case the aromas and flavours are a mix of mango, pineapple, peach, and honey with a creamy tangerine, crème brûlée finish. The vines grow over sedimentary soils with pierces of limestone and calcium carbonate that together with the marine environment keep it fresh. The perfect foil to lobster or any butter-based fish dish. It's all clone 4 chardonnay (92 percent Camelot Vineyard) barrel aged 8 months in 86 percent French oak (34 percent new). Well made hedonistic New World chardonnay.Tasted: 02 February 2019Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
