De Bortoli Rosé Pale and Dry 2018

King Valley, Victoria, AustraliaAs the label suggests, this is pale and dry. What the label doesn't tell you, is that this is still amply round and full-bodied, ripe, fruity, and juicy, with a glycerol clad core and a strawberry jam base. Raspberry, rhubarb, cherry, and spice tip off sangiovese, purpose-grown, with four hours of skin contact before being gently pressed into vats and casks. Two months on lees plumps up that mouthfeel and makes this easy for drinking solo, or with food. Easy-sipping, accessible, and friendly.Tasted: 25 January 2019Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
