Napa Valley, California, United StatesFrom Calistoga's rich volcanic red soil, this is a dense, compact blend of deep cassis, leather, dusty gravels, tobacco, black cherry and spiced cedar. Tannins are plush and the finish is long and spicy. This is a structural, savoury wine that has a raft of acidity to counter the richness and heft.
