Quails' Gate Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe follow up to the well made 2015 still reflects the now departed Nikki Callaway’s style, showing a light touch and a sense of elegance. The ’16 is more herbaceous with cedar, black liquorice and cool, bell pepper aromas. Yet there is something refreshing about this wine and it is nicely balanced. The fruit is red and spiced, the oak restrained, the textures and mouthfeel inviting but with the power you would expect from cabernet sauvignon. Best with grilled meats.Tasted: 04 November 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
