Moon Curser Tempranillo 2016

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTempranillo is a grape that loves the heat, thus, Osoyoos East Bench, first planted in 2005. The luxurious 2016 growing season yielded some spectacular raw material in the Okanagan including this tempranillo, picked at 24.9 brix and perhaps the best I have tasted from Moon Curser. The fruit is bright and spicy with a strong core of black cherry flecked with peppery spicy undertones and a dollop of toasted oak. I enjoyed the lively mid-palate and concentrated fruit that is fighting off the oak and vanilla. The texture is medium lush with equally soft tannins. Try this with grilled lamb chops or roasted pig.Tasted: 29 November 2018Tasted by: Prices:
