Mendoza, ArgentinaThe Tonel 78 Barrel Select is a 50/50 mix of malbec and bonarda, the latter giving it an attractive, juicy, character in the mouth. The two varieties are fermented separately before they are blended and aged in oak for 12 months. The nose is a mix of plums and licorice the palate almost identical with soft, floral, fruity textures that finish dry.
