Tomero Cabernet Franc 2016

Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom the High Agrelo region, this 13.5 percent cabernet franc entices with its savoury nose. The palate is a dark red fruit affair showing cassis and blueberries with an undercurrent of earth and peppers. The attack is medium weight showing some mid-palate sweetness and a touch of tannin balanced by an earthy, leafy finish. A solid mid-week red for anything from hamburgers to meatballs. The wine gets a three-day cold maceration to build colour and flavours without alcohol. Post ferment, only 20 percent of the wine spends eight months in French oak.Tasted: 17 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
