Synchromesh Storm Haven Vineyard Gibson Block Riesling 2015

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSynchromesh, and founder / winemaker / powered by riesling inspirer Alan Dickinson, has earned the title as THE riesling producer in Canada, on par with the best anywhere. Storm Haven is their home estate vineyard in Okanagan Falls, a stunning biodiverse site perched on outflow from a mountain pass, and nestled at the base of Peachcliff Mountain. It's easily one of the top sites planted in BC. This is a special bottling off Gibson Block, young vines planted in 2013 and from the warm, steep, rocky, decomposed granite area in the SW corner of the vineyard. This carries lovely gentle honey with evolved, fine tannin and faint whiffs of smoke scripting the generous, waxen texture. Brown butter and salts are subtle and well placed, with botrytis working its noble magic. Fantastic depth, interest and length from the scrabble site, resulting in a disctincty savoury wine. PH 2.92, TA 9.225, RS 24. 11.11 degrees.Tasted: 15 October 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
