Bordeaux, FranceThis mostly Fronsac merlot is a red Bordeaux in name but only in a totally bad boy way. The nose is ripe, the wine showy, and the oak generous. The attack is dense and lush with spicy black fruits. This is anything but the image of inexpensive Bordeaux, but it's balanced and fun to drink. California with some restraint.
