8th Generation Vineyard Riesling Selection 2016

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 8th Generation Selection begins in early August at veraison when they take fourteen rows and thin the crop to one cluster/one bud. The 31-year-old vineyard then puts its entire energy into ripening that fruit. The style is lively, the acidity bright but with ripe yellow fruit flavours that keep it all in balance. A slow native yeast ferment continues into January adding complex layers of flavours. There’s the perfect mix of fruit and acidity here and a whack of minerality. A versatile food wine that will work with just about anything.Tasted: 08 October 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
