JoieFarm En Famille Reserve Pinot Noir 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 16 ‘reserve’ mixes two prime BC pinot locations: Naramata and Summerland across ten different clones. It’s all small lots that are pressed to barrel for an eight-month sleep in 40 percent new oak. The nose is on the dark fruit, black raspberry, black cherry side that spill onto the palate with an earthy, spicy, smoky finish. Still youthful with some light tannin to disperse this won’t be ready for prime time until 2020.
