Clos du Soleil Capella 2016

British Columbia, CanadaAt Clos du Soleil, Capella is the flagship white, made in the classic Bordeaux style mixing sauvignon blanc and sémillon. In an age of skinny sauvignon blanc, this barrel-fermented and aged white is rounder, softer, and more complex. The nose is bright with citrus, grapefruit, lime rind and guava, and those aromas spill across the palate with an addition of passionfruit, sea salt and sage. This a fresher version in 2016, and it looks like a great candidate for age. Shellfish, seafood pasta or roast chicken all work here. Drink through 2023.Tasted: 23 July 2018Tasted by: Prices:
