Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaYard Wine is a tribute to a wine co-owner Gavin Miller painstakingly made from a tiny vineyard at his old home on the Naramata Bench. In 2014 it is a 70/30 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc picked on October 15 and 16. It was co-fermented, a Miller traditional, before spending 18 months in 25 percent new French oak. It’s foursquare in nature with some blocky tannins and resiny fruit all far too young to be drinking at this point but certainly not without potential. Rich Bing cherries with cocoa dust and coffee and dark chocolate coat the palate but we suggest another three years in the cellar would be beneficial.Tasted: 09 March 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
