Hester Creek Pinot Gris Viognier 2017

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHester Creek is celebrating the 50th year of its vineyard site and may we suggest you do it also with this delicious sipper. A lot of BC aromatic wines suffer from a certain flatness on the palate that tends to accentuate the fruit and residual sugar; not this one. A wet spring was followed by a fine hot, dry summer in 2017. The gris grapes are from local Oliver vineyards while the viognier is Osoyoos-based; all fermented in stainless steel and blended post ferment. Aromatic, but with fresh bright fruity flowery aromas and citrus/orchard fruit flavours. Juicy, dry and delicious; it’s a perfect Margherita pizza wine.Tasted: 12 March 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
