Spierhead Pinot Noir GFV Saddle Block 2016

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaGFV stands for their estate Gentleman Farmer Vineyard, and Saddle Block, a single plot within the East Kelowna site. This is a blend of their three original estate pinot noir plantings of Dijon 115, 777, and 828, with ten months in French oak. Sweetly ripe, with pretty raspberry, plum, sweet tobacco on a soft palate. There's a stickiness to the tannins that works to frame the fruit to a dusting of smoked pink peppercorn on the finish. Russian River-esque, and great swing towards refinement over last vintage.Tasted: 26 February 2018Tasted by: Prices:
