Paul Jaboulet Aîné Parallele 45 Rose 2015

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FrancePale peach in hue, this Cotes du Rhone rose is a blend of 20-ish year old grenache, cinsault and syrah sourced from two family estates on the Right side of the Rhone River. Biodynamically farmed, this is bone dry and streaming along fine peppery spice and tight red berry fruit. Fine strawberry, cherry, and cinnamon spice is bright with acidity, and lined with river stones to a snappy, pink grapefruit finish. Paul Jaboulet Aine is one of the Northern Rhone's leading estates, first established in 1834. The Paralleles line, their 'entry level' tier, was named because the 45th parallel runs two kilometers from the domaine’s cellars near Tain L’Hermitage. This cuvée began in 1950 and represents the Jaboulet commitment to producing France’s finest Rhône value. The estate been under the purview of the Frey family for the past decade or so, and Caroline Frey is currently oenologist and proprietor. This is an impressive value, an ideal rose to partner with a multitude of foods (and people) and something you could buy by the case.Tasted: 19 February 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
