Upper Bench Merlot Estate Grown 2014

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIt’s "three in row" you could classify in the super rich merlot department for Upper Bench. The style is full and dense with a rich savoury, spicy undertone. The fruit is all dark cassis and blueberry with similar chewy tannins we saw last year that tend to dry out the finish. The winery pairing is Upper Bench Okanagan Sun washed rind cheese but it wouldn’t hurt to served some grilled beef with this wine for the near future until those tannins lighten up. Just lacking a little finesse.Tasted: 16 December 2017Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
