Sicily, ItalyThis Sicilia Noto Rosso is 100 percent nero d'Avola grown on calcareous soils from 7 to 12 -year old head-pruned bush vines. Post fermentation, the wine is aged 10 months in small French oak barrels of which one third are new. The nose is warm with pruney chocolate notes mixed with tobacco. The attack round with more figgy, chocolate flavours.
