Quails' Gate Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe QG cabernet has winemaker Nikki Callaway’s light touch all over it. Callaway prefers complexity and an elegant style over brute power and big tannins, and this 2015 delivers, with a fragrant cedar, tobacco black licorice nose with similar fresh flavours on the palate. The rare, super warm 2015 was perfect for growing cabernet sauvignon, in this case from QG estate vineyards on the slopes of Mount Boucherie. Post ferment it spent 18 months in French oak. Impressive mid-valley cabernet best served with mature hard cheeses or a T-bone steak.Tasted: 12 October 2017Tasted by: Prices:
