Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis certified organic pinot noir is from Beamsville Bench's Locust Lane Vineyard, with 13 months in French oak (42 percent new) and a tightening for three months in stainless prior to bottling. The wood comes across through the somewhat drying and gritty tannins, housing dark cherry, dark chocolate, earth and fine smoke. Espresso lingers on the finish.
