BK Wines Skin n' Bones Pinot Noir 2013

Lenswood, Adelaide Hills, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide, South Australia, AustraliaDusky plum, smoked, cured meats opens this Lenswood pinot noir, one native ferment and with 160 days on the skins (hence, SKIN n' Bones). Post skin contact this goes into Frederick Freres barrels, imparting the impervious puff of sweet smoke throughout this generous, ripe pinot. Black tea tannins corset in the generosity here, with a few years age showing some thickening around the middle, but still with a snappy tension right at the finish. More brooding and mellow.Tasted: 20 October 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
