Clos du Soleil Célestiale 2014

Keremeos, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCelestiale is one of the Similkameen estate's Bordeaux blends, combining fruit from Keremeos and Cawston in the Similkameen, with fruit from Osoyoos in the southern Okanagan. A barrel selection of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot, all aged in French oak for 15 months, make up this youthful and full-bodied wine. Mint-lined cassis, blackberries, ripe black cherries, thorns, and perfumed violets is creased with cedar and spiced with fine black pepper. Acidity is lively and fresh enough to swell the sun-ripened weight. There is a big flush of heat on the finish, best met with lamb shank or osso bucco. Only 57 barrels were made.Tasted: 07 December 2017Tasted by: Prices:
