Little Engine Silver Pinot Noir 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the Naramata Bench, this saw 15 percent whole cluster and three weeks maceration before tank settling and 15 months in French oak barrel (28 percent new).The wood is evident immediately on the nose and palate, poking through the dusky black plum and blackberry, cherry leather, hickory spice and balsamic sheen. A swing of forest notes surmises pinot noir, but this potent, warm and direct dark red is suitable for all things roasted lamb.
