Orofino Hendsbee Vineyard Riesling 2015
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaUnderripe orchard fruit (quince, pear) and searing, stony acidity hallmark this severe, lean riesling. Lemon thistle, tangerine filters through the palate, along with a reductive edging. You can certainly understand the site here; Hendsbee is sandy loam over rocks, adjacent to Orofino’s Home Vineyard, and a mix of eight to ten-year-old vines, clones 239 and 21B.
