Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI DO is a frizzante style sparkler with ripe red apples and peach with bright underlying acidity to freshen the palate's overall experience. The grapes are strange bedfellows at 53/29/14/4 riesling, gewürztraminer, merlot, and kerner, but somehow it works. The finish comes with some bitterness, but all in all, this off-dry fizz gets the job done. I would serve this early in the day with hand-passed appetizers. Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Kerner, Chardonnay, and Ehrenfelser are sweet and floral on the lightly fizzy palate lime, soap, and fruit salad carrying this to a short finish.
