Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFresh bright plum, black cherry, briar, licorice nose with bits of chocolate, vanilla and peppery/meaty dried herb aromas. The attack is juicy and full with some light, grainy tannins the flavours a mix of peppery, coffee, roast pepper, black olive, black cherry and tobacco flavours. Upper Bench Merlot 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaScents of deep black fruit and stewed plum is streaked with Worcestershire sauce. The palate is plummy and soft with chocolate, mocha and fine spice, and the tannins smoothed out until the drying finish. The 40 percent new French oak for 18 months feels overwhelming. Upper Bench Merlot 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA bit of a blockbuster style the 2012 is bold and spicy with rich resiny black fruit aromas and flavours. The textures are soft and the acidity prominent at this point but it should settle down with some time in bottle say two to three years.
