M. Chapoutier Hermitage Chante Alouette Blanc 2011

Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FranceOne third of Chante-Alouette is fermented in large 600 litre wooden barrels all of the wine spends at least ten to twelve months in barrels. This is a complex white made from 100 percent marsanne showing traces of almond, quince and apricots with bits of yeasty lees, baked pear and vanilla. The attack is juicy and fresh with more apricot, honey, butter, ginger, almond flavours. This wine will live forever in bottle. Bio-dynamically farm which explains the endless lift in the finish. Try this with creamy seafood dishes, or your favourite curry dish. Tasted: 05 March 2014Tasted by: Prices:
