Veneto, ItalyGotta love that Mionetto Prosecco, one of the simple, easy, entry-level Proseccos on the market has a necker that declares it 'Prestigue Collection'. Though labelled Brut, it's certainly on the higher end of the scale, with candied red apple, florals, and pear drop filling a short, assertive, sweetish palate to a sour citrus finish. Veneto, ItalyNow part of the Henkell group, Mionetto was originally founded in 1887 in Valdobbiadene and has become one of the world's top selling Proseccos. The fruit on their Prestige Prosecco is rather flat and simple: pear with a hint of florals, lacking the charm and purity of higher quality Prosecco. Expect a vigorous, frothy mousse on a light frame, leading to an off-dry finish (12 g/L residual sugar).
