Blue Grouse Cowichan Station Pinot Noir 2012

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaReally liking these new labels for a rebranded Blue Grouse. This promising little pinot noir is showing a positive direction in whats inside the bottle as well. Wild strawberries, raspberry gummies, forest moss and earth aromas. The juicy, fine spiced palate carries on in the red fruited theme, though the pure fruit is snuffed by firm, up-front wood (30 percent new French oak). Tannins are a little wood hewn and astringent before the young wine finishes rhubarb tart. Pour with wild mushroom pasta. Tasted: 30 December 2014Tasted by: Prices:
