Champagne, FranceWe don’t use the bargain word much when we review wine sold in BC but as we approach New Year’s if you are looking for Champagne and you are looking for a bargain, Champagne Le Mesnil is it. Tight classy and focused this is a lovely introduction to the pureness and minerality of the blanc de blancs. The delicate white flowers and fruits linger in the background playing a supporting role to the minerality and brioche notes, A rare grand cru at this price that easily over delivers in the Champagne category.
