Weingut Robert Weil Kiedricher Trocken Riesling 2012

Rheinhessen, GermanyThe 'trocken' 'Ortswein' is nothing if not bright. Refreshing acidity sets the stage for its perfectly balanced stone fruit, citrus, stony, mineral flavours, Precision bone dry flavours that cry out for food. Salmon sashimi would be a great choice. The VDP's 2012 classification defines the quality of a wine according to its origin (terroir) dividing it into four tiers: from "Gutswein" (proprietary, regional wines) and "Ortswein" (village wines) to "Erste Lage" (wines from first-class classified sites) and "Grosse Lage" (wines from the very best classified sites). There are is no Prädikats designation for trocken wines. They remain reserved for wines with natural sweetness.Tasted: 19 October 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
