Skaha Vineyards Unoaked Chardonnay 2013

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaKudos to Kaleden-based Kraze Legz Estate Winery for this wine. I have suggested the unoaked moniker doesn't do this it any justice given it is far more complex and texturally sophisticated than your typical Wineshop 'unoaked' category. It is a delicious-drinking chardonnay with a bright, fruit nose, the perfect whiff of lees and scent of honeysuckle. The palate is fresh but with just enough weight, stone fruits, pear and minerality to pull it all off. A perfect wine for scallops, clams or shrimp.Tasted: 08 October 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
