Cassini Cellars The Godfather 2010

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Godfather is a lean-ish mix of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc with some syrah to flush it out. There's some elegance here which is appreciated although its a cool, reserved demeanour is likely a result of the cold growing season. The wine was aged for 24 months in 100 percent new French oak a bold move in a year like 2010. I like the wine but we will need to wait five years to see the final outcome. Roast lamb is the match for now.Tasted: 17 October 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
