Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is a great site for syrah and now one of the oldest in the valley as evidenced by its savoury, peppery, meaty nose laced with licorice, sage, coffee and vanilla notes. Ripe, round, fresh, dry, elegant palate with light tannins. The palate is full and expressive with vanilla, smoky resin, espresso, licorice, black berry jam, prune, leather and sage flavours. An oaky, consumer-friendly style but attractive with its solid core of fruit and balance. Drink now - 4 years. Would love to see this wine get a little less young oak.
