Bret Brothers La Soufrandiere Macon-Vinzelles Clos de Grand-Pere 2012

Pouilly-Vinzelles, Mâconnais, Burgundy, FranceThis wine continues to impress and improve over the years offering more precision and less oak from the southern edge of Burgundy at Macon-Vinzelles. The vines on average are 50-years old and sit on limestone across the lower slope of Pouilly-Vinzelles. Look for an expressive nose of apple/pear/honey and citrus notes mixed with an appealing leesy spicy, butter, floral, mineral flavours. The wine is certified bio-dynamic and is a fine candidate to age another three to five years. Perfect for west coast Dungeness crab.Tasted: 07 September 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
